I believe this is the Birthstone for August NOT September. It is a Peridot, truly a beautiful stone. We purchased it for my sister who was born in August. If we are incorrect, we’ll be extremely disappointed and will be eating crow for dinner! We had understood sapphires, another beautiful stone is the Birthstone for September.
