Like all Van Der Hagen soaps this is a quality product. Foam and protection are retained during the shave and the face remains smooth and soft. This company's shaving soap never ceases to amaze me. If you are looking for quality shaving soap at a good price, this is the soap for you. Update, this soap creates a rich lather that lasts six passes, I shave my head too. I've found that I have more control over the consistency of the foam if I transfer the foam to another bowl. This is my shaving soap and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. This is my second purchase of three cans of Van Der Hagen from Revain. I found my shaving soap and I have no plans to change it.
