First thoughts. I received this machine yesterday and after using it twice I'm still a huge fan. I've been using Nutri Ninja for about 2 1/2 years and the experience has been nothing short of painful; I regret that I have not updated for a long time. What I like: It's programmable. That means I can set it to Auto and it will blend frozen fruit smoothies while I do other things. Calm. No blender is going to be a *quiet* machine, but by comparison it's a lot quieter than the Ninja, which literally gave my ears a ache towards the end of its life. I don't mind being in the same room as this machine when it's running. The main seal on the base/lid doesn't seem to trap food where it might rot (unlike Ninja who smells all the time). It goes very well together. It blends foods better than Ninja (no lumps are left in the smoothie) and actually blends to a smoother consistency. And the last thing I like the most is that I'm a handyman. The bearings in the blade assembly appear to be serviceable/replaceable. The ninja didn't even have a reference point; It had bushings that wore out after 8 months of daily use. That means I might be able to replace them if the bearings or seals ever wear out. Overall I'm very happy with this machine and can't find any major flaws in the design. Excellent work.
