Okay, this is a really good keyboard. I was spoiled for Apple keyboards, but when I switched to Linux I needed something "Made for Windows". The Apple keyboard works well, but lacks a few keys if you do more than visit another operating system during the day. Macally makes really good hardware, but again it's Mac-oriented. Some keyboards may have Ctrl "outside" (like this keyboard), others may have a key inside of the rim. Depending on preference and possibly muscle memory, this should therefore be taken into account. Some keyboards have an Fn key (like this keyboard), others may not. For Linux, that's what I want - and it has a "Caps Lock" feature for the Fn key. So if you choose "always fn" or "always media etc" can be activated on-the-fly without opening the control panel. Numlock too, no need to install numlockx. In general, the keys are simply pleasant to the touch. I've tried several other keyboards here at Revain. And the one I really liked had a sleepy W key. I could tap, tap, tap to wake it up and then it would work just fine. But even then, the keys were stiffer, had a rough texture that seemed to rub off my fingerprints, and didn't feel as "transparent" as the "Apple Keyboard" feel I was looking for. This keyboard has it all. The feature that decided my purchase? The keys have a very smooth concavity (along with the usual dimples on the F and J keys). And my fingers feel more "centered" when typing. That muscle sensation is too quick to think about, but it's important. The bottom row (on the main keys) are all slightly convex. Well made, comfortable, responsive. I will now buy another one for another workstation. These keys feel so good, I think they improve my typing speed.
