Bought for my grandson. I've been surprised at how much they've changed over the years. The one I had as a kid in the late 60's early 70's was a much thicker rubber material with a very strong airlock. I toss my bouncy ball across the line, bouncing over gravel, down corridors, over grass and dirt. Everyone had a lot of fun jumping on it. I even saved it for my kids to play with. They also had a lot of fun and things went really well thanks to the two energetic boys. Unfortunately, I believe the rubber eventually rotted and the bouncing ball disappeared by the time my kids entered their teens. Almost 20 years between me and my kids playing and having fun. But that was when things were made to last and not thrown away after a short while. The quality of this bouncy ball is a far cry from what it used to be and I would hesitate to let my grandson use it outside a lot because we have gravel in our driveway and I'm afraid it won't last long. But overall he enjoys it. Not as much as I thought. My biggest concern is the ease of removing the airlock. He was able to pull it out with no problem. I wish the venting was better.
