Used this holder on two different machines. One has vertical vents and the other has horizontal vents that I attach this phone holder to to free my hands. It can hold onto any type of vent, but make sure it's firmly attached to the vent. This is the first of its kind that I have purchased. It does its job but I find the part that holds the phone is very tight making it difficult to remove the phone when I get out of the car. To do this, it must always be removed from the vent at the same time. I'll look for one that makes it more convenient to use with a phone. Note: This is impractical for use with any smartphone that has a side-mounted volume or power button, like mine. This limits where you can place the handle. Update: Without my request, Entronik refunded me this product without expecting a return from me and also said they forwarded my comment to their design team to see if the product could be improved. While the comments above remain the same, I am very impressed with Entroik's response to the customer experience.
