I didn't read the instructions and threw it in the washer and dryer with my daughter's clothes. Regular washing holds it up very well, but I'll be sure to follow the directions for the next round. The only drawback is the pillow. The filling is cheap, lumpy and fluffy. There is almost nothing in this little pillow. I went to Joanne's and bought a bag of silky stuffing and filled the whole pillow with it. It made a big difference. I have reviewed and read most sleeping bag reviews on Revain and most always fail and complain about the pillow. So I would recommend buying this sleeping bag but the pillow needs to be re-stuffed. The material is very comfortable and soft. Color and design are also adorable.
