This is a simple tool. If you wanted, you could make a similar tool for a lot less money, using all the threads, washers, nuts, and various sockets. However, it is much better. I've used an alternate method in the past, but it pays to have the right size screwdrivers and much heavier threads and washers. A few things to watch out for. 1) In the instructions. In the main image, the thrust bearing orientation is wrong. This is correctly described in the instructions and in the smaller picture. 2) Thrust bearing worthless. It fell apart on first use. I replaced it with two grease coated washers and it ran much smoother than one bearing. A usage tip, a product fix I would recommend, is to etch the drivers with a compression depth so you don't have to spread them apart to check the depth and risk going too far. Casting the logo there, marking it in millimeter increments wouldn't add much to the mold.
