I needed to upgrade my Linux laptop's M2.2280 SSD to a larger one. This adapter came with my original SSD mounted in Ubuntu 20.04LTS with no issues and very quickly transferred my old data from the old SSD to the newly installed SSD in my laptop. No glitches, blackouts or any drama. The installed SSD got very hot during file transfer, so I can understand why some other closed case M2 SSD adapters have overheating issues. While I'd like to reuse my old M2 drive as reliable external storage and can't do that with this adapter, I believe this adapter is the right choice for my intended purpose of data migration.
