As a parent, I'm always looking for warm and comfortable clothes for my kids in winter. Let's talk about the positive things first. The coat is really heavy and provides enough warmth on cold days. The hood and high collar offer additional protection against wind and snow. The zippers and pockets are strong and well placed. My son loves the style and doesn't complain that it's too chunky. Now for the cons. The size is confusing. I ordered size 4 for my average 3 year old and it's too big for him. When purchasing this coat I would recommend going down a size. While the coat looks great from afar, the quality of the material leaves a lot to be desired up close. The fabric feels thin and some stitching doesn't hold up well. After all, the coat sheds feathers quite often, and I pick them off the floor and my son's clothes. Overall, I give the Osh Kosh Boys Heavyweight Colorblock Jacket in Cadet Blue three stars. While it offers warmth and style, size and quality issues prevent me from fully recommending it.
