Pretty nice shell turned out. It's a bit thicker than I expected, but way too thick - and protective of course! Every detail has access cutouts - volume and 3D sliders, camera cutouts, pen slot, etc. The cutouts range from form-fitting to slightly more roomy, but they don't reveal so much that you need to worry about them. They are very clear so you can see your beautiful overlays perfectly. The two parts are actually connected with hinges (connected by the hinges of the N3DS itself). Leaping forward a little, I put on the top first and wondered why he needed those extra appendages. Afraid they would scratch the N3DS hinges I cut them off...then found out there was a hole on the bottom for these appendages. Since mine isn't able to connect, the top seems to slip off a bit from time to time (although by no means will it fall off easily). So don't make the same mistake as me! All in all it's a good case that offers extra protection without sacrificing or detracting from the unique look and feel of your N3DS, so I'd happily recommend it!
