Weak, horribly designed junk - save your money!

Full Disclosure: I purchased this backpack in April 2018 and am writing this review 9 months after purchase. However, I only used this backpack in August. I teach at a university and bought this to replace my heavier Swiss Gear that I've had for over 10 years (it still works, just heavier than I need for everyday campus use). During the purchase I realized I was taking a $28 backpack, but I didn't expect the bag to be AS BAD AS IT IS. First, the zippers are hidden under that wide edge of fabric that's gathered at each end. So when you finally unzip the zipper (which keeps getting stuck in the fabric flap), you won't be able to fully access the pockets. They only open so wide that the seams on the flaps prevent the bag from opening wide. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but if you regularly take your laptop out of your bag, it becomes a problem when the bag doesn't open wide enough to easily slide your laptop in or out when you put another small item in it your pocket have pocket. Second, the compartments are insanely small and cramped. The main compartment of the bag just holds a laptop and a book. The two small (I mean small) compartments on the front are not big enough for my laptop charger. You hold some pens and that's it. Third, and this is the worst, the bag is so poorly made that it even falls off. It started in the middle of the fall semester and continues to this day when one of the straps broke while I was walking between classes. I had a Macbook Air and a small loose-leaf binder in my bag, along with some pens and a laptop charger. I walked and heard the threads snap and then I felt them start to snap. I couldn't use it to the end - I had to carry it around like a child, which was terribly uncomfortable and simply shouldn't have happened. Everything in this bag is a disappointment. Calling it badly built junk is kindness. I would NOT recommend this bag for school children of all ages. It just doesn't last a single semester. I used this bag carefully and simply. I'm glad I have my old Swiss Gear and a few other bags to rely on while I look for another lightweight option. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your money on this bag.
