I tried it on my face when I was allergic to something in my eyes. It was fine at first, but after applying three wipes once, the skin on my face turned reddish-pink and my face burned. I tried washing my face with cold water but the burning persisted for a while. So I stopped using it on my face. A wiping of dry skin or hands is sufficient. I will not use it for my child either. I didn't notice any smell from the towels. Well, I didn't point my nose directly at the napkin to sniff it. The napkin is soft.
