I was looking for a screen for my Optoma short throw projector. I was looking for a manual drop down screen as it will not be used as the primary TV. I wanted a bigger screen than my 92 inch Mitsubishi TV. At first I was looking for a 120 inch screen. Elite screens of this size cost around $250. I saw Elite make a 100 inch screen that was a lot cheaper. After some research I found out that it is not compatible with short throw projectors. So I stumbled across this 100-inch Vivo screen for just $68. That would be the screen. The box arrived in perfect condition. It's a very long box but not heavy at all, only 18 pounds. No fastening material is supplied. My wife wanted it to be ceiling mounted. I originally intended to mount it to the wooden beams in the ceiling, but it wasn't centered or aligned with the rings on the projector body. I decided to buy 2 souvenir hooks from Walmart for Β£30 at $1.67 each and just attach them by 1/2" drywall. The projector is light enough, weighs 18 pounds and I'm not worried about the Projector falls over. I measured center to center on the rings on the case and it was 91". Then I measured the length of my wall and subtracted 91 from that and divided by 2 to see where to center it on the ceiling need.to drill 2 holes in the ceiling.Uses a T-square to mark 19" from the wall to clear the Ikea shelf when we pull it down. The screen is easy to put down and put back in.The Odor isn't all that bad. After a few minutes of inactivity, I didn't even notice the smell. There were no waves on the screen, but a 7" scratch on the bottom edge. It was completely unnoticed when the projector was turned on and because of possible worse problems the trouble of the au not worth swapping. I have an Optoma gt750 about 4 feet from the screen. I will upgrade to Optoma Darbee 1080p in the future. But so far the 750 looks great, even at 720p. The picture looks much better on the screen than just on a white wall. I'm so glad I went with 100" instead of 120". $150 plus the premium for a 120-inch screen was too big a price difference to justify the purchase. The 100 inch screen is big enough and I'm so glad I bought it. Definitely worth buying and I will definitely do it again. I bought a Yamaha receiver for the downstairs so I can bring an Onkyo with surround speakers for our family movie room.
