We had trouble turning on the security light and putting Aztek in lockdown mode. After having to pull that *!$# battery post off the side post 3 or 4 times to reset it, I decided to order this new BCM. I installed it myself (this is a separate story) and was glad the keys and remotes still work and the mileage on the odometer remained. All emergency lights went out, only the airbag light was on and the radio was disabled. I was able to take it to the dealer where they programmed it with their Tech 2 scanner. This extinguished the airbag light and unlocked the radio. After two days all my OBD monitors are "ready" except EVAP which can take a long time. I took the extra step of spraying the BCM contacts with DeOxit D5 cleaner. I also cleaned the DeOxit fittings on the C305 under the floor panel behind the driver's seat. This plug is also a weak point in the Aztek and in my case caused an incorrect EVAP code so you might want to clean it first before replacing the BCM. The best place to buy DeOxit locally is Guitar Center. So now my "SpazTek" is "SnazTek" again.
