I like this new fan from Sharper Image. The Spin 12 offers plenty of wind power for its size. It swings gently with a wide spread. All three wind speeds are very effective and noise levels vary accordingly. I prefer top speed for more comfort. However, it is quite loud at these settings. Not scary, just amazing for such a small fan. I actually like this sound at night because it helps me sleep. The remote control is handy and offers speed and swing adjustment. I'd like a bright color or something that stands out so it's easier to find, but I can fix that with a bit of neon tape. The fan works without a remote control with two simple buttons. The power button also controls the speed. On - Low Medium High. Another reviewer was confused by the remote control, but the settings are pretty straightforward. You can also activate/deactivate the oscillation with the remote control. I actually find it easier than using the button on the fan because for some reason it takes more than a touch to work accurately. All in all, this is a very good fan. I like the simple design. I wish it came in white or light gray as black can show dust build up. Luckily, a fan is included so you can clean the blades and grill. Good fan.
