I was very disappointed in this purchase after reading so many positive reviews. First, the setup isn't very intuitive and the instructions aren't as user-friendly as they could be. The software CD came with the machine, but my computer doesn't have a CD player and I'm pretty sure the software on the CD isn't for Windows 10. I found a way to download the Audacity software myself and it does what it should do. The cassette machine itself was a problem. I first tested if it works by listening through headphones. The included ear tips look incredibly cheap and don't fit my ears well. I used my own and could hear the cassettes playing. The sound was absolutely terrible. To be fair I don't know how many cars were in it or how old the tapes were. However, the cassettes played faster than usual and this is the fault of the cassette player. I recorded the audio from the cassette on the Audacity platform to see if it sounded any better. Not surprisingly, this is not the case. (Garbage in, garbage out.) However, the software worked well and I found it easy to record and play back. I will be returning this cassette converter as it is simply not up to standard.
