This relatively small 19.5V power adapter is perfect for our 2013 Dell Inspiron 14Z laptop. The price was relatively cheap, all battery charging and display functions work perfectly with it and last but not least, it successfully charges the computer battery to 100%. During use, the power adapter heats up, but does not heat up. However, the manual says it can get very hot, so we put it on a ceramic stand just to be safe. However, there is only one plug on the 19.5VDC side of the power supply, so this power supply will ONLY work for a Dell or laptop with the exact same type of input socket. (Finding this adapter was a great relief as the 19.5V universal adapter we bought from a local computer store was NOT recognized by our Dell computer even though it was advertised as being compatible with Dell models, among others The universal power supply The PSU was correctly powering the ASUS Aspire laptop, so I think the problem with the computer store's PSU is that the Dell Inspiron laptop has a more sophisticated charger detection program and will reject chargers that not behaving as expected.)
