This machine makes fantastic cups of coffee. However, after 2 years of ownership and less than 5 pans welded in, the siphon no longer sits in the metal part of the machine. To my dismay, hot water poured from the siphon onto everyone at my dining table. I tested it again in my kitchen to make sure it was user error, put the siphon back in securely and re-lit the wick. It exploded in front of my nose and went straight into the trash can. My guests and I were very lucky, there were no serious injuries, but the shock of it all was enough. I'm thinking about buying another car, but after this incident I'm also afraid to keep one at home.
