Review on Stainless Steel Mandoline Slicer For Kitchen - Adjustable Food Chopper With Safety Gloves, Onion Waffle French Fry Cutter, Potato Chip Julienne Slicer. by Michelle Sanders

First impressions are not good - the blade is horribly dull

I got this to replace a cheap mandoline i had owned for several years. I figured it was time to upgrade to a stainless version. I just tried to cut a cucumber and my impressions are not good at all. The blade is barely sharp. It butchered the first few slices until I got into a rhythm. My old, cheap mandoline had a blade so sharp, I didn't want to get anywhere near it with my fingers. This "blade" seems to be just a thin piece of stainless steel, and I could feel it's dullness with my fingertips.

Pros
  • Save Space: The blades are built-in and does not require extra space for storage. The support handle and anti-slip feet are foldable, making it comfortable to use and easy to fold and store. The slicer can be folded into a flat form for easy storage in a drawer.
Cons
  • The slicer may not work well with irregularly shaped vegetables and fruits.
