Converted Skeptic

We changed our babies years ago and I read about the benefits of vinegar instead of fabric softener and the magic of dryer balls. I hate the smell of vinegar and dryballs instead of my long relationship with Downey?!? For real? nope I wasn't sold and left. Let's fast forward a few years. Our old washing machine has been replaced with an HE washing machine and the laundry problem is rearing its ugly head. Desperate, we returned to the usual diaper washing. Vinegar? dryer balls? Voodoo? Dive in and whistle? black magic? Frankincense and Saiancen? Yes, we were all in! These dryer balls are awesome and do everything they say they do and other reviewers have endorsed them. I can't compare them to other dryer balls as these are my firsts. But we ditched the conditioner and the Downey and went back to the green detergent we used on diapers and tried the vinegar and dryer balls combo. We are new converts. Yes, you can hear them droning softly in the dryer. The additional noise is hardly noticeable. The lightning strikes on the dryer are many times louder. Until you digest the laundry, there is almost no static electricity. Synthetic fabrics are causing more and more static problems. I haven't had them long enough to talk about the long term effects on our laundry. Clothes definitely dry faster. I'm really happy at the moment. Unless you're concerned about your current laundry routine, these (or other) balls probably won't do much for you. However, if you want to make a difference, I highly recommend them! I am also pleased that I was able to switch to a more environmentally friendly way of quality laundry.
