It's actually a lot bigger than I expected and it's great! Our boy loves to look downstairs in the mirror and listen to all the twists and turns. He is 3 months old and still too small to hold this big toy in his hands. The tentacles are perfect for his little hands and he loves the variety of sounds and textures. But the upper is just bigger and too heavy at the moment. I'm sure he will play with her a lot once he gets to keep her. Edit: Our little one is now 4.5 months old and this is his favorite toy. It's not too big to hold anymore. He easily grabs directly at the tentacles and likes to chew on different textures. He can now grab the top perfectly and loves to stare into the face and mumble. Part of the hat also makes a rustling sound, and he likes to put it in his mouth and yell at her (whatever makes you happy, bro). It's just a wonderful toy. We always take that with us when we go somewhere.
