Review on 10.2" Apple iPad (2020), 32 GB, Wi-Fi, Gold by Adam Kowalski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

I have been using Apple gadgets for a long time - I had an iPhone 4s, 5, SE and MacBook Air 2022, but the iPad always seemed like something of an overkill. Previously, it really looked more like a “stretched” iPhone, but with the reworking of the operating system and the advent of the Apple Pencil, the tablet began to claim to replace my laptop. This model is an excellent value for money: a nice aluminum case, a juicy display picture, smooth operation and speed, all this is on top. In fact, the iPad has become my home PC, on which I enjoy watching YouTube, reading news and books, drawing, making simple clips and sometimes playing Hearthstone. I calmly transferred a solid part of office work to this gadget, since it holds a charge for more than 10 hours with active use, it has office suites (both from MS and free ones from Apple), and a lot of software for photo / video / copywriting, etc. .d. Before buying, I was very worried about the "air gap", "obsolete design" and "bad camera". I will break down these "cons": 1. The difference with a laminated screen is only visible in the store when compared with more expensive models or if you use an iPad with your head at an angle - you will not do this. On the black version, the screen looks especially cool; 2. The design may not be new, but time-tested and very comfortable. There is something to hold on to, the materials are top, the fingerprint scanner is conveniently located. And the device looks expensive and solid; 3. The camera is suitable for documents, references, scanning, etc. The front camera handles video calls quite well, although it requires good lighting in the room. For full use, in my opinion, the Apple Pencil is simply mandatory - drawing and writing by hand (we are waiting for the 2022 language) is a completely different level of interaction that makes me delight with its implementation. Bottom line: for the money, the gadget is great. The only compromise is the choice of memory, for someone even 128 will not be enough (I took 32 GB, since I use the cloud and that's enough for me). Feel free to advise!

Pros
  • Design; autonomy; Performance; Build quality; One year of Apple TV and 3 months of Arcade for free.
Cons
  • "Roughness" iPad OS; Memory; Without the Apple Pencil, the potential is not fully revealed.
