The dot changed from blue to pink after about 2 weeks so I took it out of the car. It is recommended to dry in the microwave, but only with a power of 600 watts. I've been drying kitchen towels in my 900 watt microwave for a while, so get a feel for how well it works. I left it on high for 1 minute and then cleared it. It was very hot and the steam came out quickly. I let it cool for about 1 minute and then put it back in for 30 seconds and took it out again. My microwave doesn't remove steam well, so I take it out to let the steam dissipate in the fresh air. I repeated the 30 second process 6 more times until there was no more vapor coming off. The dot turned blue again and became much brighter. He's back in my car. Hope this helps remove odors too!
