The washer and dryer are in our dimly lit garage with only one light on the wall behind the washer and dryer. This made it difficult to read the settings on the machines and find the missing socks :) We thought about putting a table lamp on top of the washing machine, but we were afraid it might fall off from the vibration, so we bought two of it you. Lamps and attach one to each car as in the photo. The small metal plates that came with the headlights were not needed because the bulbs were attached to the metal roofs of the cars with magnets. The advantage of not having the discs is that the position of the lamp can be adjusted if necessary and the magnet is strong enough not to be affected by machine vibrations.
