The eTip works quite well. I have previously had other eTip gloves (not North Face) and they worked about 50% or less. These work more like 90%. Text messaging is still relatively impossible, but the easy navigation is pretty responsive! As for warmth, these aren't the WARMEST gloves, they're more like a "sleeve". Putting your hands in your pockets for 30 seconds will make them warm again and make you feel comfortable for a while longer. Anyway, I mainly use them for driving and the fact that they allow me to be nimble and keep my hands warm on a cold steering wheel is the most important thing to me. Plus, they're from North Face, so they'll last forever.
