Tired of looking for a facial moisturizer. That's it. I have combination skin. It works for me and so my search for it is finally over. After 3 months of use in varying weather conditions (100F to 30F) here is my review and usage tips to maximize the benefits. Summary PROS: - Very moisturizing - No fragrance (big plus!) - A little goes a long way - Considering how little you need to use, it's very economical - Absorbs quickly, but you have to find a sweet spot in the crowd that you need to apply to your face - Goes well with makeup - Latest skincare line - Not an essence or a serum, but when you want to skip or simplify a step (of a thousand Korean skincare steps) but still add Hyaluronic Acid to your daily routine want , this is for you . hot and humid, the less you need to apply - Great for dry to normal skin - Suitable for combination skin but MAY require additional sebum control products (suggested tips later in this review) - May be tolerable for oily skin types, but you will need it definitely additional sebum control products (recommended tips later in this review) - Works well with COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All-in-One Cream (as the penultimate step in skincare) - Works well with Korean skincare cream Snail Repair Skincare ( as the penultimate step). step in skin care). may look down on this product - Improper application of too much oil will result in oiliness and potential breakouts - Combination to oily skin may require additional sebum control products - Spray water on face before applying this cream for maximum absorption . REVIEW: Others have said this before, but I'll say it here anyway.1. Before applying this cream, water must be sprayed on the face so that it is perfectly absorbed and not greasy, oily or sticky. You don't need a lot of water. I got this little 1 ounce spray that I filled with filtered water and just spritzed some on my face and neck - the water in this 1 ounce spray lasted 2 months with daily use. That's how little water you need to splash on your face. First I used rose water for 2 weeks. Then I switched to filtered water. It does not matter. This is important if you are not using water. Also, using the spray made it easier than just dabbing my face with water because the spray makes it look a lot less wet. I can control how much I want to fog.2. Small things have a big impact. You have to play around with how much cream you put on your face. You can find the sweet spot for the amount in a few days or a week. I was sooo surprised at how little I had to apply to get enough hydration AND not leave me greasy or make my face look heavy and messy. I absolutely hated this product when I first got it because I applied too much and it felt heavy and sticky and also looked so oily - the bottle felt so small I was a little over the price excited. I was thinking of regular hyaluronic acid before but decided on this Cosrx instead because it was on sale and I hated the idea of having a different essence/serum; I have to say that I really regretted my decision at the beginning. However, I didn't know that I simply put too much into it in the beginning. I put the same amount of cream on my face as any other face cream I've ever had and it was just a big, greasy NO. Later, when I looked at the reviews, I realized that maybe I had put too much into it. I made another try. It took me a whole week to finally admit that I only need about 1/10th of what I normally use. And OMG I just loved it. I think you're kidding me? It is impossible. It was so moisturizing and not greasy at all in such a tiny amount. Even in the dry, frigid winter air, my face was never tight or dry! This has never happened to me with any facial moisturizer in my entire 35 year life. That's when I finally felt like I'd found the MOST moisturizer. This cream really moisturizes when applied correctly, ie. applied with a small amount of water and part of the normal amount, this will last a very long time. I poured some into a smaller container/jar 3 months ago and barely used half in my 20ml travel bag. I've used it in dry hot 100F and cold 30F and it's great for all weather. I wear a little more in cold weather than in hot weather. In wet weather I wear even less. This is the only face and neck cream I have to be careful with because it can be too greasy. I also like that it's not an essence/serum. Even though I've been on the 9, 10, or 12 step Korean skincare board for a few years now, I'm fed up. In fact, I'm tired of makeup. However, I still believe in Korean cosmetics in general. That's my belief: focus on skincare first, then natural makeup. I'm at an age where traditional facial moisturizers aren't working anymore and I need something extra to help with dryness, wrinkles and sagging. That's why I wanted to use hyaluronic acid in my skincare, but not as an essence or serum. Instead of a bunch of steps, I wanted to simplify and condense the steps and still get some benefits. I think I'm just being lazy, but I honestly can't tell the difference between this intense hyaluronic acid cream and a pure and special hyaluronic acid essence/serum. Seeing no difference I will be using this cream as a face moisturizer until I am older and need more effort. For now it works and it's great. I feel like my face is properly hydrated, protected, nourished and lifted. I'm just really happy with them. Snail creams aren't usually that moisturizing. However, they cleanse blemishes well, don't clog pores and help the skin a bit...among many other benefits. So I usually first apply a snail cream, wet my face with water and then finally apply Cosrx Intense Hyaluronic Acid Cream. I end up looking greasy during the day and that's because I have combination skin, especially my T-zone. So I have to use mineral powder to control sebum production. Although I have tried many face moisturizers so far, I have yet to try mineral powder. Maybe I got lucky, but I've only tried Innisfree and it worked great. So I use two products: Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder 5g 0.17oz (usually $6-7) and Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact 8.5g (usually $10). They are both essentially the same, but one is a pact and the other is a powder; both have their advantages and disadvantages. Mineral PACT is not as natural and absorbs longer but is more comfortable to use and lasts longer so I only use it at night or when I don't need to see anyone for at least 30-45 minutes. Mineral POWDER is more uncomfortable and doesn't last as long, but looks completely natural and absorbs instantly. Powder is what I carry in my purse to top up any shine when I have to meet people. I'm leaving this contract at home. Sometimes I only need these once in the middle of the day and that's all I need to keep my sebum(s) under control for the rest of the day. Of course, this varies from person to person and from weather to weather. I find it to be better than pressed or loose makeup powder because it doesn't clog my pores, doesn't clump with repeated applications, and doesn't dry out my face. And since it's supposed to be colorless (save for the initial white color upon application), I don't have to worry about it matching my skin tone. All this Innisfree mineral powder does is absorb and control my sebum. This powder/pack is the last thing I put on my face after moisturizer, sunscreen and/or makeup. Sometimes you have to apply another layer after a few hours. It also helps control my acne if I take omega-3 fatty acids. Reviewing all the face products I buy, I just can't go without this powder due to my oily, acne-prone skin. So I no longer look for other descriptions of sebum control products in moisturizers, creams, serums and essences. As long as I have that to apply after everything, I feel like I can use all the products now.
