Review on 2007-2018 Jeep JK, JKU Sport Grille, Black, 🚙 1 Piece, Easy Bolt-On Installation - Part Number #46481 by Vincent Burton

Pros: -------- These things just fit. no lining, fuss, etc. It fits snugly into the factory Jeep grille, no need to move the air/temp sensor (2013 JKU)/use glue and plastic/etc. - The quality of the powder coating is top notch. I've only had the grill for 2 months and haven't really lifted a stone to check the 3 year warranty. - Looks pretty cool up close. It's nice that the metal grille is shaped to match the Jeep's grille vents. - Protection in the sense that I no longer have to worry about the rock finding my radiator/transmission cooler. Cons: -------- - The price is quite high for a piece of metal mesh indeed. the grille is attached to the jeep, which evens out the price. - Looks great up close, but from 7ft+ it's hard to tell the difference from the standard no-mesh grille (I have a black mesh on a white JKU). I bought a 1/2 grille for the look and 1/2 to protect my radiator and am a little disappointed that the look isn't as dramatic as it is from afar. I guess a chrome finish would be more dramatic (but for me, chrome doesn't quite match the look I'm looking for). - Installation instructions are a bit vague. It's awkward when you first work on your $30,000 car. (There are YouTube videos explaining how to remove the grill etc which is the hardest part of the install). Drilling 5 small holes for the bottom screws is the only real case of getting your hands dirty. And I really like that the top of the grill uses the same brackets as the grill itself. This is by far the best design I've seen from other aftermarket grill manufacturers. This is a development that allowed the bracket to match the existing Jeep grille assembly making this grille better than others and worth the price in my opinion. - Additional documentation issues - some packages were dated "fits JK 07-08". ok i realize you probably have stock of plastic wrap that is obsolete before you sell that stock but it's a bit confusing when the thought that this grill might not fit your car crosses your mind or that perhaps the wrong part was sent. Conclusion: Good specs worth the price and the T-Rex grill seems like the best option to me. There is no buyer's regret here.
