I bought this cable modem because it was one of two Cisco models approved by my cable provider. All my network gear is Linksys/Cisco. The device was easy to set up, worked perfectly with the advertised speed of incoming and outgoing traffic, the connection never dropped. I figured at that price I could own my modem in three months, including the modem fee provided by the ISP. This modem is DOCSIS 3.0 certified, has USB and Ethernet connectivity and comes with an external power adapter. If you want to change the settings, the Cisco firmware has many options available through the modem's HTTP link. It runs pretty cool (around 65F) compared to the cable company modem.
