I didn't buy the 696 styling comb from Revain, I bought it from somewhere else and was very disappointed. After seeing so many rave reviews for this product, I've convinced myself that this comb is perfect for everyday use. But that's not the case. Yes, it's seamless so you'll see less breakage at the ends. Yes, it's anti-static so your hair is less frizzy and shinier overall. However, this comb pulled twice as much hair from the roots as the cheap Clinique plastic comb I used before. It also seems to soak up the oils from my scalp without spreading them throughout my hair shaft, leaving my hair uncomfortable and dry. I had to stop using it after 3 days. It should be noted that I have thick, straight, medium-length hair with a normal scalp (not too dry, not too oily) and this still had a negative effect. Maybe I have a broken comb? With all of Hercules Sagemann's claims of creating the perfect handcrafted seamless combs, this fell apart VERY FAST.
