My 8 year old daughter wanted something like her brother's Switch Lite. It costs a lot less and can be played on a TV. That works great. She liked everything and was not disappointed at all. It's lightweight but doesn't look flimsy. I like that there is a small game preview window so she can see what game it is without having to remember the name of each one. It has the ability to save progress in some games, which many similar consoles I've looked at don't have. I like that it doesn't require Wi-Fi and has a battery backup option. It will be useful for car trips. There are enough games here to keep anyone entertained for a while. I am happy with this purchase. It was exactly what I was looking for.
