I have never owned a vacuum sealer and have wanted one for a long time. I bought this device on someone's recommendation and so far I'm very happy with the features and functionality. I've sealed veggies, meat, liquid foods and more. The seals were almost all perfect, although there were two issues due to an error of their own. And the best part is that you can make any package more secure by simply affixing a second (or even a third!) seal side by side. The lids held up well when I used raw meat for sous vide and they turned out great. The only thing I don't understand is why one side of the pockets is textured and the other side is smooth. There has to be a reason, but the textured side leaves a mark on some products.
