Review on Lufkin QRL625MP Quickread Measure 25 Feet by Joshua Flame

I got four of these as I work in the maintenance department and needed a pair of tape measures. It was very difficult to get the tape out of the box and it took me two tapes to figure out the best way to do it. You need to take a knife and open the back, cut along the punched lines (the punched dotted lines do not open - they give little), pry open the cardboard with a screwdriver and tear off, then lift the metal belt with the screwdriver clip enough to to release the plastic hole where they should catch the clip. How painful! And a real security hazard if you just try to open it with a knife or sharp object. The tape measure itself works flawlessly when you finally free it from the grip of death the packaging has on it. I fix and work on some stupidly designed items as part of my job, but this package must have been designed by Lufkin's sales prevention department. There are many equally good roulettes that are packaged sensibly - I would pick one of those.
