I was totally skeptical when I first bought it. We first bought and tried it from Grommet. I was surprised. Pour in the right amount of water, put in the hard-boiled egg, close the lid and shake. It is so easy. In most cases, the shell will simply slide off when you remove the egg from the container. Once, when I had very fresh eggs, I had a little trouble with two of the 24 I used for egg salad, but that wasn't the problem you have when hard-boiling a really fresh egg. I only had to take off a few parts. When we found that it worked so well, it was definitely worth the price. I bought this and gave it to my mom knowing she would never spend that kind of money to buy one for herself. She always makes stuffed eggs, egg salad, and pasta salad with eggs for church dinners, and I wanted to make it easier for her. She has used it several times and loves it!
