Not "heavy duty " as advertised but works for homegrown apples

Ordered two apple peelers. They looked the same in the pictures but this one claimed to be sturdy. The other doesn't. It is NOT heavy duty. They are absolutely the same. I see others on other product pages sold by different companies but look the same in the pictures. I bet it's still the same product. They work. They don't work very well, but they save time and are pretty cute and fun to work with. They also work with very small apples. I have access to three apple trees in the yard of an old farmhouse. The apples are quite small but worth picking. This device works with small ones, but unless they are very strong and hard, small ones can break because the pins are quite large. Even if the core is off-center, the apple can break. And if there are dimples or soft spots or asymmetries, the peeler will not work effectively. I think what I'm saying is this: It works on homegrown apples of the right shape, with no bruising or deformities. Sort accordingly. I like that the slices are even. Place the cored and sliced apple on a cutting board and cut in half from top to bottom. As a result, you get pieces of the descending / ascending circles of the crescent of equal thickness. My thick applesauce turned out amazing - I just tossed the whole, cored, sliced apples into the pan and they fell apart nicely when it was all done. The suction was on. I'm not very impressed with the quality of the skived edge and expect it to dull quickly. I don't consider this a quality product. I think you can tell the difference between a quality apple peeler by its photos and its price.
