Review on Dorman 926 321 Odometer Drive Gear by Tony Basler

My '97 F-150's speedometer worked, but the odometer and odometer stopped working and couldn't be reset. I disassembled the dashboard and found a broken worm gear inside. Fished out the remnants of the old gear, checked the motor to make sure it was turning properly and with some firm hand pressure slid the new worm gear back onto the motor drive shaft and then put the new worm gear/motor back in place. Now my odometer and odometer are working like new again! Also, spend this time replacing burned out lightbulbs. This tiny, very expensive worm gear is worth it. It's not that easy to replace, so quality is very important. (The price is still inflated since it looks like it took 1 or 2 cents to make the plastic.) I'm still very happy that I made it myself and saved hundreds of 💲💲💲 dollars.
