Most of these glowing reviews were probably written after an impressive first impression. When delivered, the pens write fluently, with great variation and fine lines. Silver looked fantastic, green, blue and purple were fine, gold was acceptable and red was disappointing in terms of brilliance but still a lovely colour. However, after a few uses, all of the tips have faded to the point where fine lines are no longer possible (there is still plenty of ink) and attempts to do finer work look as rough as a pencil. Metallic sheen has also been significantly reduced (particularly on standard paper/cardboard - it is less noticeable on non-porous surfaces). The gold turned ugly, almost greenish yellow. I had high hopes for this brand given the constant recommendations, but the quality seems to be lacking.
