We have an unbalanced 48" x 78" sliding glass door that cannot be repaired and at this time we cannot afford to custom make a door for it . Even the on-site builders struggled to open it. I drilled through the frame with confidence, knowing there had to be better. Sure, it's not easy, but at least you can get in and out. I was afraid the grip would loosen with all the tension, but so far so good. I had to replace the regular padlock with a patch over the handle but it was an easy fix as the old padlock was very flimsy and I could keep it for future use. This makes the door look more like a front door. I cycled the handle on and off multiple times to get the door working and it withstood my brutal attempts to reattach what was broken. Between the free home restore and multiple installs and reinstalls the pen has done half a year in a week in my opinion and wow. I am happy!
