I suspect that people complaining that this plate could be stiffer haven't really analyzed their situation to understand exactly what makes their light assembly not entirely stable. I put one of these on the front of my 2019 Honda Accord with a 10" lightbar from 4WDKING and it's dangling all over the place, but it's NOT the plate's fault: it's Honda's fault and the pathetically flimsy plastic 'bumper' " / Radiator grille parts the license plate attached. A lightbar is strong against this mounting plate, but any chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and on my latest Honda, the front number plate (and therefore this mounting plate) is bolted into a very weak bracket. the link is valid. It's Honda's thin plastic that flexes and yields everywhere - *not* this mounting plate. This plate is a great product that is more than up to the task, but in order for my lightbar to be solid and stable in relation to my car I need to somehow reinforce and stabilize the plastic parts of the car's grille itself to which this plate is attached. If I can do this I'll have a secure lightbar mount.
