This product is a good temporary solution, like if you have guests over and you want to keep your rug straight. It is definitely NOT a long term solution. I used this on my 5x7 rug in a room with very little traffic and the rug stayed flat for about 1 month. I did not apply the tape on the entire perimeter of the rug, only about 1-6 inch piece every 6 inches. Applying the tape is a bit tricky so make sure you have sharp scissors and a smooth, lint-free surface to lay the roll down after cutting the pieces needed or the entire roll will be a mess.
