My aquarium has become infected with beardweed. CO2 Booster contains an ingredient that kills algae but not BBA. However, CO2 Booster was all I had on hand, so I gave it a try. I'm not sure if it killed the BBA directly, or maybe it softened the material enough for my plecostomus to eat, but after a few weeks the tank was clean again. As a bonus, it also solved the general algae problem and my plants are greener. Some people claim that this product killed their fish. I haven't had any such problems - all my fish are as healthy as ever.
