I've been using it for about two weeks now, here are my thoughts. I'm pretty sure I got the device working at 66% (it was bought new). Good Qualities: I took out the filter to check and some particles/things were trapped in it, but not much. (Note that this replaces an old air purifier that was no longer as efficient, so the air quality in that part of the house was already being treated by the air purifier). - Easy construction. Bad: - It is touch sensitive. Nob/manual controls would be preferable. Depending on the angle at which you press the button with your finger, sometimes to change this to a light/medium/high filter speed, for example, does not work. I would prefer a longer chord, but it's not that critical. - The backlit touch buttons are always on unless you are in "Night" mode, in which case it is on the lowest level. See Deformity to learn why this is a problem for this device. I'd like the "lights off" option, but still a medium or high speed. I use black cloth to cover the light. Ugly: - Strange noises. The rattling or "hard engine" noise is difficult to describe. However, this only happens at the lowest filter/airspeed settings and is VERY noticeable. This is unlike any shoe closet/bookshelf/desk and I don't feed it dirt and hair (the surrounding area is generally clean and cleaned often) so I don't know why the fan/motor is struggling at low speeds. Parameter. When I first heard that slow "chu-chu" sound, I walked over to the air purifier, got a little closer, and suddenly it picked up speed! At high and medium speeds there is no such problem, only at low ones, and it's terrible. This has happened three times already, so I left it at medium speed and haven't tried it since.
