Review on πŸš— Nissan Maxima 1993-2001 Haynes Repair Manual: Complete Automotive Guide by Brian Dildine

Okay, but check out the Nissan Service Manual

instead. I was willing to work on my car and read the Haynes manual on what I would have to do to change the transmission oil and transmission filter. I have also supplemented this research with several DIY articles on the internet on the same topic. However, on my big repair day, I couldn't figure out where to place the jack stands. Worse, I couldn't figure out where to learn how to set up the jacks. I figured this would be a simple web search, but I couldn't find an article showing the correct placement of a hydraulic jack and jack stands. I thought I was, but then I asked a few more experienced amateur mechanics and no one could give a definitive answer as to where to place the jack stands. Enter the $140 factory service manual, which is about four times the pages of this Haynes manual, and complete it with an amazing set of detailed maxima charts. 3 pages of detailed diagrams of proper lifting points, jack placement and stand accessories needed for maximum safe lifting. The $140 service manual is 5 stars and I'm sorry I couldn't purchase through Revain. So buy this cheaper Haynes manual if you want a simple summary or don't want to spend $140 on a factory service manual.
