The shelf is nice and light. I really like that there are holes on the bottom for hanging. This is way better than the Rubbermaid hooks I've used. A few points from my experience that were negative: when it arrived there was still soot on some of the welds. Like it was boxed up right after welding and never even wiped off. He got off easy enough, however. Second, there are no mounting holes or instructions for installation. Having never owned a trailer and planning on installing one in my garage, I'm not sure if this is to be expected or not. I ended up installing 1x18 in my wall studs and 1x4 below to support the bottom of the shelf. Finally I drilled a hole in the center of the back of each helmet compartment and screwed it in 1x18. It's durable and gets the job done. I was even able to add extra hooks to the 1x4. It only took about 20 minutes after a trip to the hardware store to complete. A few hours for the paint to dry and you're done. My only problem is that I want to buy a large shelf model!
