I rarely write reviews but I am very concerned about this particular purchase. My parrot died yesterday because his wing got tangled in the strings of this toy. It happened in the evening and when I went to feed her yesterday morning I found her tied up and tied to this toy. The pediatrician always told us to be careful and watch out for strands of hair or clothes strings that can get wrapped around a child's fingers and toes and cut off blood circulation. Sounds crazy, but it happens! This happened to one of my kids and I was lucky enough to know what I was dealing with. Well this toy is the same concept. Little threads came out, and somehow she twisted the loose threads. Her skin under her wing was "skinned" red meat. We pulled her out and she still had a tiny cord firmly embedded IN HER SKIN! We called the vet but he wasn't able to see her until the next morning. All other offices were closed because it was Sunday. We did our best to make her okay, but on Monday morning, after never speaking again, she finally let out a little cry and died. If I could rate this with ZERO stars I would. We will never have another parrot again due to the loss of Sasha, our beautiful yellow necked one. I can't stress enough that this toy isn't worth it and I NEVER RECOMMEND IT! The guilt for my loss is extremely painful.
