This is a great ceiling fan that has some great features but there are a few things to consider before installing. Things you need to know: 1) Blue wire to fan - so you can connect the light to a switch, not a remote control. I have confirmed that the LEDs get 120VAC and wired them that way myself. (Just connect the load to the blue wire inside the fan. 2) The motor doesn't have a load wire, instead it has 3 U,V,W. I believe they are for 3-phase winding, so you need to buy some converters if you want to bypass the remote control. suitable for the existing bracket. 4) The LEDs are built-in (not replaceable). So if they go out you'll need to find a TCL replacement part (not the bulb)* (Just to be clear if you're wondering. The fan works fine with the backlight running on the switch and the fan works via the remote) What I liked: 1) Strong plastic leaves seem to hold their shape for a very long time (do not sag) 2) The light looks very clean and polished. 3) You can choose the temperature by quickly turning the lights off and on again (see the first two pictures) 4) VERY QUIET - No noise, I had and used dozens of ceiling fans. It's the quietest - you don't hear the motor, only wind noise when the speed is high enough. 5) Timer (4 hours) - a very nice feature that allows me to fall asleep with the fan on but without waking it up. .6) The "Wind" setting on the fan is a nice feature that randomizes the speed. Things to note: 1) The blades cannot be mounted when the fan is fixed to the ceiling! Some disassembly is required to install the blades (the engine cover must be removed). Final Thoughts. After all that is said and done for me, this really is the perfect fan. I thought I wanted to connect the fan to a dedicated switch, but I like using the remote as I find the timer settings and quick power settings from 1 to 6 very useful. The choice of color temperature and the ultra-quiet operation characterize this fan and I can only recommend it.
