Seems to be a good standup quality transformer for at least the 5 days I've used it on a 3.0 amp device.
Worked perfect for my application! It powers my 12v 3.0 amp device without issue. This is a fairly small transformer, so even though it boasts a 5.0 amp output, I have my doubts it can provide that for any length of time without some serious heat issues. In their defense, it does show a picture of the internal components with #5 being a "cooling" system that appears to be a sheet of thin aluminum for heat dissipation?
- Provides bright and even lighting with no flickering or buzzing
- May not be compatible with some 12V DC devices
