In preparation for cable cuts in 2017 we got our first HD antenna for our Smart TV. We live downtown and have excellent reception with about 30 channels so the next step was to get a recorder. We started with a $30 base model and a $54 external hard drive, but it was so difficult we returned it. We then bought the TIVO BOLT and love ALL of its features. Simple, simple, simple! From the very easy setup to using the wonderful WHITE** remote, the user interface is great! We have put together an elegant and very intuitive remote control that can do almost* everything we need. We have printed a remote control that is very easy to follow. The HD footage is fantastic, filling our entire 40-inch screen. Even the old black and white shows look great! * On the Tivo remote just press enter to go to ROKU and then we have to use the ROKU remote. never mind Including our initial cost of the Tivo antenna and device, a Tivo subscription (save $30 if you pay for 1 year) and a 50/50 ongoing internet fee, we estimate that we will save at least $1,600 per year when we are on FIOS abstain.** Our older eyes LOVE white!
