The BCD996P2 arrived this morning. Easy to program with a computer. If you know a bit about scanners, you won't have too many problems. People who don't program their own scanners or are just starting out and are in too much of a hurry to learn a scanner will likely be disappointed. I really like the sound quality of this radio. It's very easy on the ears. I've been listening to p25 phase 2 of the three districts in my living room all day with just the standard antenna. The radio has a lot of features and anyone who likes to tinker and experiment with the radio will never get tired of this scanner.
