Goordik Condenser Mic Pro Tip

Good. Right out of the box I had an issue with this thing, the mic was spinning on its stem, I had to use black tape to stabilize it before spinning. Automatically NO STARS. Sounds like a trash shredder, I mean a condenser mic, a condenser mic picks up everything from my air conditioner to the flies farting around the room. I've tried it on my acoustic amp and it picks up my voice but I also have the guitar in the mic channel. (No, it shouldn't.) Lots of feedback, you have to tweak it a lot to eliminate it, which also reduces the volume coming through your amp. Also, don't forget the gain control if you have it, or this thing will scream in your face, even from across the room. Advantages? Not much actually, I think it would be more suitable for public performances, but are you using it in a live concert? There are better options, this thing isn't SM57 so it's not going to replace anything that sounds really good. This "PA" headset picks up external sources and picks up your guitar and any background noise with every breath you take, so keep that in mind. minuses? The reviews on You Tube lie. The build quality is cheap as you would expect from anything made in China! The mic spins freely and isn't properly attached to the stem, I had to use black tape to secure it. It's strange to wear, it's light but not comfortable for me. The sound isn't very good, it works flawlessly, but will this professional sound solution really impress your fans? Hardly. Expert Advice. Give it back, I'll do that with this piece of shit! Unless you're recording a full band or church choir, stay away from condenser mics. I recommend dynamic mics for recording, speeches and public speaking, condenser mics are designed for use in very quiet environments like a soundproof studio or for capturing big sound. Sources such as drums, piano or choirs. Why the hell did they plug a condenser mic into the headset, I don't get it? But I got this one because I had to try it to see for myself so don't make my mistake, get something better like a dynamic mic headset from a reputable company, you'll be glad you did .
